
I’ve been testing the app to see how natural it feels and how it compares to other tools, including Adobe’s own existing apps. Adobe Fresco is a new tool for iPad illustrators promising a truly organic drawing and painting experience that accelerates workflows across multiple devices. You can download Adobe Fresco from the App Store.There’s no shortage of iPad creativity apps on the market today, but Adobe wants to prove there’s room for at least one more.

IMPROVED COLOR MIXING FOR OIL BRUSHES: Try the new color mixing capabilities of oil brushes.Access the ruler in the bottom right corner of the canvas for making straight lines in any direction. RULER MEASUREMENTS: We’ve updated the ruler so that it can be pinned to the canvas and used to measure your strokes while you draw.Customize each vector brush however you desire. VELOCITY TAPER: Under each vector brush we’ve added advanced controls for tapering based on how quickly you draw your vector stroke.Check out the full list under App Settings. MORE KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS: If you’ve got a keyboard attached to your iPad, enjoy advanced shortcuts to create a new layer, flip canvas, and more.Using the secondary action of the Touch Shortcut, tap once to trim overlapping vector strokes, or scribble three times over any stroke to completely erase it. VECTOR TRIM: While using a vector brush, you can now quickly trim paths with this new feature.Press the Touch Shortcut, and then out to the edge to access the second state. We added a second state, which you can access for more options. You can think of it like a “shift” key on a keyboard.

TOUCH SHORTCUT The little circle on your canvas is called the Touch Shortcut and has many uses.We’ve added a new section under Pixel brushes with several options to choose from. MIXER BRUSHES: Based on Photoshop Mixer brushes, these new brushes smudge and blend while painting.Make a multicolor swatch using the Eyedropper combined with the Touch Shortcut. MULTICOLOR EYEDROP: Color swatches can contain multiple colors so you can paint with more than one at a time using any Pixel or Live brush.Choose from a basic circle, square, and polygon or bring in your own custom shapes from Adobe Capture or Creative Cloud libraries. SHAPES: Kick start your drawing process by using shapes to stamp, fill, mask, erase, or make selections.
